10-2-2025 Shenandoah Skyline Dr. Ride
We’ll be riding a 65-mile route, starting from the Eastham Park, we’ll roll out together and approach Skyline Drive. This is one of the most scenic stretches of road on the East Coast, with long climbs, smooth pavement, and incredible views the whole way. The ride should be especially beautiful with the crisp fall air and the changing colors of the leaves along the Shenandoah Valley.

Details:
Open to all riders but note it’s a lot of climbing with 5-8% gradients
One rest stop at the Visitor Center turnaround point
Bring front and rear lights, this is required
$15 per rider to enter Skyline Drive (some may have passes)
If the forecast looks bad, we’ll cancel the ride by the day before
With the weather cooling it may be advisable to bring a vest for the descents

Join us for the last Thursday evening ride in SOMD. Join is for Plaza Azteca afterwards. We'll keep an eye on the forecast.
9-18-2025: ThNR
Join us for a 33 Mi ride and we begin to wind down the Thursday night ride for the year. Think about joining us at Plaza Azteca afterwards.
9-4-2025 ThNR: Last Ride to Point Lookout
We'll stick to 1715 for the remainder of the month to remain consistent. Sunset is at 1931. So we have 2 hrs plus a 15 minute reserve. This will be the last week we make the full run to the point. Afterwards, the Earth's tilt will require us to shorten our ride to get home before sunset. So come on out and make it a good one.

We'll be rolling from the front of the drill hall, 15-17mph pace for the first lap and then break off for additional laps for those interested.
ThNR: 1715 Point Lookout
Forecast showing great weather for a ride down to Point Lookout. Adjusting the time for daylight considerations. Don't worry, just stepping in temporarily until we have an assignment ThNR. Maybe attend Plaza Azteca if interest afterwards.
Tuesday Base Lap(s)
Come on out and join us at the Energy Zone for a fun lap of base! Bring your friends and forget about the traffic up 235! We'll be aiming for 14-17 mph for a no-drop lap (~10 miles). If you're hankering for more you can continue on at the pace of your liking. We'll brief group riding basics beforehand at 16:50. Roll at 17:00.
Meeting - Elections and Ride Planning
We’ll be sitting (bring a chair!) down at Old Line to discuss the club’s future, namely choosing our next leaders and charting the best path forward for the club in terms of our rides. Pizza will be provided for active members. Hope to see you there!
6-10-2025 TNR - Gateway Only
Last week’s TNR was probably the best so far this year, so let’s do it again. 2 laps of NAS (-20 mi), social pace, no drop, no points. The fast guys will probably post separately, so you can try to go with them and still have someone to ride with if you fall off.

6-3-2025 TNR - Just Gateway
As promised, TNR continues, but we’ll be taking a break from competitive rides for a while. Join us for a chill no-drop 2-lap circuit. We might spice it up a bit with some short high-intensity pieces, but we’ll take a pulse to gauge the zeitgeist.

This week’s ride is the famous Admiral’s Crit. It’s our most unique ride of the year, by permission of VADM Chebi, who has graciously lent us the use of his private drive on base.
