Meeting Minutes

Board Election

Results:

President – Patrick O’Shea

Vice President – Tim Herman

Treasurer – Barry Sturgis

Secretary – Mike Daugherty

Our next election will be at the end of October to ensure high attendance. We thank Jim Bumbaugh for his lengthy and devoted service.

Website Redesign / Club Experience

Pete shared his ideas for the club and got a lot of support. The website is really important for us. It's where people first learn about us and where we communicate. It should be easy to use, up-to-date, and easy to understand. Rides should be grouped into general types and the calendar should be helpful and up to date. By updating the website and doing these things, we can help new riders understand what to expect. We need to set expectations and then meet them. Brief the ride, and then ride the brief.

Ride Updates

SaMR

Mike D is still in charge and is finding others to take over when he's not around. We want to thank him for leading our most popular ride lately.

SuMR

Mike B has been suggesting some Sunday plans, but the weather has made it difficult. Pat and Tim suggested taking turns being in charge each week, starting March 10, and finding someone else to lead if they can't host themselves.

TNR

2 laps training camp on March 12th. The prologue time trial is part of the first series, and the finale time trial is part of the final series. There are two 5-week series and two 6-week series. The maximum number of non-base rides per series is 2. Gabe will sponsor base access, and Jim will share his knowledge of the process.

ThNR

The weekly ride starts on March 14, led by Gabe for the A Group. Volunteers are needed for the B Group leader. The expectation is that the A Group will ride at a faster tempo pace and the B Group will support those who may fall behind the A group.

Swap Meet

No one seems interested; no responses to Barry

Trailer

Is Steve holding it now? We need to insure it to bring it onto the base – the club will pay extra for anyone who volunteers.

St. Mary’s Century

Gabe is taking charge and plans to destroy the Century unless someone else steps in. Special Olympics is thankful and might assist with a rest stop.

Insurance

Barry working on it

Attendance: Jim, Pat, Barry, Tim, Mike D, Pete, Gabe, Karl
